Does Nelly Know?

Once again, Nelly is talking about a supergroup involving both himself and Pharrell. He mentions Akon, like last time, but this time he also throws T-Pain in there. I suppose it's possible...I don't really think so. Plus even if it's true, what a weird mix right? I think that Akon and T-Pain serve the same purpose in all their collaborations...
Yes, The Neptunes did do some production on Brass Knuckles, but I really don't think of Nelly and P as being hella close or having similar style or similar topics.

Universal Mind Control Full Video

Why would they keep P's lovely face covered for the whole video? Silly...I like the video overall though.

Not Official, But Awesome

Announcement -- Common featuring Pharrell

[Edit] Okay, so, both High Snobiety and this place are calling this the official video, so I thought I'd share my reason for expecting a Hype Williams version to come out as the official video.

Also, I would expect the official video to premier on 106 and Park or some other TV show, rather than just showing up on the internet.

Pharrell and Common Shooting a Video

The BBC blog has a new post titled "Common Video Shoot" with pictures of P and Common on the set of a music video. Common's album "Invinsible Summer," produced by The Neptunes, will be released on September 23rd. The first single will be Universal Mind Control featuring Pharrell. This is probably the song that the video is for, however Pharrell is also featured on the tracks Announcement and Gladiator.

Pharrell on N.E.R.D. and more

Here's some new quotes from Pharrell from the Post Gazette. Click here for the whole article.

"If this was 'The Matrix,' " he says, "I'd much rather be Morpheus. It gives you freedom and the ability to create and help guide and navigate others' careers when requested. N.E.R.D. is niche, so cool and underground and cult."

He also talks about what it's like to work with various artists and how he feels about his role in production.

Anddd...here's another on from "The Daily Kansan" ?? Click here.

N3RD Re-Titled and Delayed

N3RD has been re-named "Seeing Sounds" and will not be released until late June, Six Shot is reporting based on an article in Entertainment Weekly.
The title is based on "[...]reference to a neurological phenomenon called Synesthesia, where senses cross so a tone correlates to, say, a color -- read the insanely complex dissection at wikipedia," Entertainment Weekly says.
So, the album won't even be out before I see them in April. Had a feeling it wouldn't, but June? Damn.

New N*E*R*D MySpace

I am not a MySpace person, but I am an N*E*R*D person, so here is the link to their new MySpace page. Even though it would be nice to see some updates on the actual NERD website or even on Pharrell's own official site, at least this is something. There's a nice big "COMING SOON" under "T*O*U*R DATES."
It's cool-looking and all, but not much new here folks. Is that the horse head nebula? I think that's what it's called. You can listen to "Everyone Nose," but I'm sure it's already on your iTunes, right?
