Off The Preview Mixtape/Off Topic
I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks "that robot thingie" is way over-used. I understand if you wanna use it in the chorus of like ONE song, but don't have that be your whole style like T-Pain. As for Lil Wayne...Lolipop Remix is was better than the original 'cause he has an actual VERSE in which he raps and doesn't have the vocalizer on the entire time like he does in the original. I'd like to atleast hear his actual voice ONCE in a while on his song.

N*E*R*D Interview
This guy has the N*E*R*D formula all figured out. He just keeps pulling things out of his box and making Pharrell speechless. "After you go to Japan, nothing matters anymore." It's true.

N*E*R*D at the Fillmore
The show last night was AWESOME. I got about as close to the front as I did at the Jimmy Kimmel Live performance. Man, it was packed up there. I could barely move. Anyway, I did not get on stage, but it was still amazing and awesome and the crowd was a cool group. There were points when everyone would get pushed in one direction and be falling on each other, but then the crowd would push back and we'd be back on balance again. They performed "Maybe," which I was kinda hoping for, but really not expecting. The band was awesome as always, doing there awesome live mashup of "Seven Nation Army" and "Everyone Nose."
Here is the SF weekly review. It's pretty detailed and also has pictures. I saw the guy who was taking the pictures for the BBC Blog, so hopefully those will be up soon.

Pharrell and Common Shooting a Video
The BBC blog has a new post titled "Common Video Shoot" with pictures of P and Common on the set of a music video. Common's album "Invinsible Summer," produced by The Neptunes, will be released on September 23rd. The first single will be Universal Mind Control featuring Pharrell. This is probably the song that the video is for, however Pharrell is also featured on the tracks Announcement and Gladiator.

Kanye to Interview Veterans
MTV and Gigwise are reporting that Kanye will be interviewing Iraq war veterans on a new documentary show called "Choose or Lose & Kanye West Present: Homecoming."
From Gigwise: "'There are hundreds of veterans out there who are falling through the cracks. They make the ultimate sacrifices for us by laying down their lives, but it seems like a lot of them just get forgotten about,' West said in a statement."

Rumors
Apparently Page Six has reported that Pharrell is going to be a father. You can read more about it here, here, and here.
I'm gonna see Pharrell later today, but even if I have the chance, I won't ask him about it. I did see a tall, black female hanging out with him back stage before the Jimmy Kimmel Live performance, but she was very thin and not at all pregnant-looking. Also, she was just sitting there with P and a few other guys, not looking like she was the girlfriend of any of them.

New Nas
Kanye linked one of three new Nas songs leaked today. Check out Queens Get The Money, You Can't Stop Us Now, and Breathe.
Oh Shit. I didn't know "Black President" was gonna be an official track. That's awesome.
Comment if you can help complete these lyrics. I don't think anyone has transcribed them yet.
Queens Get The Money by Nas
'Ey, yo
Queens get the money
Niggas still screaming, paper chasin’
While presidential candidates is planning wars with other nations
Over stake with masons
Pregnant teens give birth to intelligent gangsters—they daddies faceless
Play this, by your stomach, let my words massage it and rub it
I’ll be his daddy if there’s no one there to love it
Tell him his name Nasir
Tell him how he got here
Mama was just havin’ fun with someone above her years
Niggas is still hatin’
Talkin’ that Nas done fell off with rhymin’
He rather floss with diamonds
They pray “Please, God, let him spit oozy in the army linin’”
Now, shorty do I roll with twenty oo-wops in the park reclinin’
Take twenty-seven MCs
Put them in a line
And they out of alignment
My assignment since he said retirement
Hidin’ behind 8-Mile and The Chronic
Get rich or die rhymin'
This is hot science
Now add twenty-three more
From Queens to B-more
I’m over they heads
Like a bulimic on a see-saw
Now that’s fifty porch monkeys ate up at the same time
Nasty Nas that
Y’all gone bow homes
It’s Dow Jones
Eighty cal chrome
Needed time alone to zone
The Mac left his iPhone and his nine at home
My queen used the milk shake to bring y’all to my slaughter houses
I do this for the group-home kids and boarding houses
This that nigga shit that’s on the album
For them niggas that’s inside the chalk line and forty houses
Bring back Arsenio
Hip hop was aborted so Nas breathes life back into the embryo
Let us make men in our image
Spit it
I’m Hughie P and Louie V at the eulogy
Throwing molotovs for Emmett
You ain’t as hot as I is
All of these false prophets is not messiahs
You don’t know how high the sky is, the square mileage of Earth, or what pi is
I’m the shaky hand that touched George Foreman
In Zaire
The same hand that punched down devils that brought down the towers
