New N*E*R*D MySpace

I am not a MySpace person, but I am an N*E*R*D person, so here is the link to their new MySpace page. Even though it would be nice to see some updates on the actual NERD website or even on Pharrell's own official site, at least this is something. There's a nice big "COMING SOON" under "T*O*U*R DATES."
It's cool-looking and all, but not much new here folks. Is that the horse head nebula? I think that's what it's called. You can listen to "Everyone Nose," but I'm sure it's already on your iTunes, right?

Interview with Lupe catches him asking for Chris Brown tickets

RWD magazine had an interview with Lupe Fiasco recently in which he had to pause and take another call with a "D Jones" to get the hookup for some Chris Brown tickets. You can read the interview here. I thought I'd share since a lot of the news on here has been Kanye West and Pharrell Williams-oriented lately. It's got some interesting stuff comparing Lupe's first and second albums. If you're a video game nerd like me then you'll probably wanna check it out just to read what Lupe has to say about SEGA.

Child Rebel Soldier Album while on The Glow In The Dark Tour?

Don't act like I never told ya...haha oh man what did I say? MTV U.K. apparently thinks there's some merit to my idea that CRS will write or record their album while they are on tour together. Check out the article here. "There’s now speculation they will perform as a three-some on the tour and could even record a rumoured album while on the road." They gotta perform Us Placers, right? Let's hope so!

Glow In The Dark Tour

Check out the Icon Page for this icon and more!

And we have The Glow In The Dark Tour confirmation: Kanye West, Rihanna, NERD, Lupe Fiasco

Here's the entry to Kanye's blog in which he finally shows us all of the poster he was hinting at earlier. As a Sci-Fi fan, I gotta say I'm loving the STARWARS-esque font.

A Tribe Called Quest's Q-Tip plans to work with CRS

Check out Exclaim!'s time line for A Tribe Called Quest. Toward the bottom of the 2007 paragraph you can read the following: "[Q-Tip is] also looking to contribute production to Child Rebel Soldiers, a collaboration between Kanye West, Fiasco and Pharrell Williams..."

Kanye shows us some Glow In The Dark Tour promotional material

Check out the latest entry at Kanye West's blog here to see various pieces of promotional material for The Glow In The Dark Tour. He really knows how to create anticipation: the images are incomplete and will leave you begging for more.

Perhaps even more exciting is the above image, which appears to list not only N*E*R*D, but something that looks like the top half of "LUPE." It's gonna be a Child Rebel Soldier tour!
Oh yeah and shoutout to the people using my icons over on Kanye's Blog!

N*E*R*D CD apparently nearing completion

Based on the recent BBC Blog post entitled "Finishing Touches?" I think it's safe to guess that the N*E*R*D CD apparently nearing completion. An official release date has yet to be announced, but in an interview with NME.com Pharrell said "We plan to release it next March or April." Since they're already finishing up, a March release is looking more likely. Maybe we'll get to see it even sooner?
By the way, I enjoyed Kanye's post on his blog today that was titled "THIS IS RETARDED" so I made an icon that goes with it. I've been adding more icons so don't forget to check them out.

Glow in the Dark Tour: Kanye West+ N*E*R*D...?

Kanye first mentioned The Glow In The Dark Tour back in March 2007. He announced the name on MTV to make sure no one else would use the idea. Recently on his blog he posted this entry titled "This is my shit... GET READY FOR THE GLOW IN THE DARK TOUR!!!!!!!!!!!" and featuring a picture of N*E*R*D from the Fly or Die album pictures. N*E*R*D touring with Kanye West is probably the best thing that could happen. As mentioned by some of the commenters, one can't help but wonder if Lupe Fiasco will be involved. Child Rebel Soldier pre-album tour? Maybe they write the CRS album while touring together, then it would be done at the end of 2008. That'd be perfect, right?

Blason by Pharrell Unveiled with Pictures

Blason has been unveiled! In addition to the pictures you've probably already seen on the BBC blog, the moderator over there also uploaded the following two photos, but didn't show them in the blog! So, this is the only blog you can find them on.

"Everyone Nose" Lyrics+ Link to unreleased N.E.R.D. song!

[another edit] ...and it's out! I guess I can just take pleasure in knowing I was one of the first fans to hear it. See the BBC blog for an update with the song in it.
[edit] The N.E.R.D. feature in the February issue of Glamour includes the following quote: "You and your girls are going out tonight." -from the song "Everyone Nose"

All the girls standing in the line for the bathroom
All the girls standing in the line for the bathroom
All the girls standing in the
All the girls standing in the
All the girls standing in the line for the bathroom

Yeah
You and your girls are going out tonight
Y'all been planning this whole thing right
You got something the boys can't deny
(...) It's like apple pie
Cut you open and you just (...)
(...) cause a riot
Who could say no to you
Wait 'til they get a load of you
A hundred dollar bills
Look at you, at you
A hundred dollar bills
Look at you, at you
A hundred dollar bills
Look at you, at you
A hundred dollar bills
Look at you, at you

All the girls standing in the line for the bathroom
All the girls standing in the line for the bathroom
All the girls standing in the
All the girls standing in the
All the girls standing in the line for the bathroom

OKAY so that's all I wanna transcribe of the lyrics, but seriously I think that NO ONE has heard this yet. Seriously. Has anyone heard this song or read the lyrics are anything? I like it.

Since I don't have permission to redistribute this and I don't wanna steal shit from P, I'm just gonna link you guys to where I found it.

New N.E.R.D. ?

I stumbled across an mp3 labled "Everyone Nose" which is a rumored title of a track on N.E.R.D.'s next CD, N.3.R.D. I'll have a small sample for it up soon. Is this track unrealeased? Will this be the first single? Let me know what you think.

If you're an addict like me, you've probably seen this, but...

Just in case:

These pictures and a few others of NERD in the studio are up on the BBC blog. The article also includes Pharrell in the Vegas Strip Jacket from BBC's spring 2008 line and some pictures of Las Vegas that inspired the jacket.

Lu at the Fillmore in SF

Tonight Lupe Fiasco was at the Fillmore in San Francisco. The show was excellent. Optimus opened up at 8 and performed until about 8:45. Among the songs he played was a cover of Bob Marley's "Waiting in Vain."
Lupe was awesome and he divided his sets by his CD playing songs from his first album first, telling a story of "when we met" to the audience. Gem Stones preformed between sets.
Next Lu will be doing some shows in SoCal and then going to Nevada, New Mexico, and on east with his last show in New York. Lupe's tour is listed on his Myspace has a list of tour dates.

Kanye West in Glasto

Mtv news has speculated that Kanye West is the "black American headliner" that the head of Glastonbury says will be preforming at the upcoming music festival. Other possibilities are Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Rihanna. Who will it be?
Other performers who are rumored to be appearing at this year's June festival include Amy Winehouse, Muse, Led Zepplin, and LUPE FIASCO! An official list of performers won't be available until June, but last year nearly all rumored artists were there!

Lupe on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Lupe Fiasco will be the musical guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday night/ Thursday morning. Jimmy Kimmel Live is on ABC weeknights at 12:05/11:05 central. The show is an hour long and usually the musical guest is toward the end.

Thriller 25

If you haven't seen the trailer for Michael Jackson's upcoming 25th anniversery remix album, here it is!

"Michael, as long as he's on earth, we're gonna wanna know what he's doing. When he's ninety years old and moonwalking, probably at one mile per hour, the world will be right there to watch." -Pharrell

A collaboration no one will wanna miss...

The BBC blog's latest update, titled "Meanwhile somewhere in Miami," shows Pharrell and Timbaland working side-by-side in the studio.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who is excited by the epic potential of those two in one room! Both of these super-producers have been working with Madonna on her new album, but a collaboration between the two of them? No doubt it will be amazing!

P.S. Kanye is teasing us all with a screen cap from his upcoming video for Flashing Lights. Check it out over at his blog. Looks hot!

P's much anticipated jewelry line from LV

Finally some information on this thing! Everything I have read about it was old news saying it would be out in 2007, which did not happen. Now there is an official release date for "Blason." According to Fashion Week Daily, the line will be unveiled on January 21st. The party for the release, hosted by Pharrell and his co-designer Camille Miceli, will be held in a mansion on Avenue Foch.

"Us Placers" -- Child Rebel Soldier

What I really love about this video is how the kids really have the mannerisms of CRS down. I really notice it in Mini P.

Mentions of CRS

Here are some articles that mention CRS...
October 2007
http://www.sixshot.com/news/8360/
http://www.hiphop-elements.com/article/read/4/8045/1/
November 2007

December 2007

In that last one, Lupe talks about hopefully having an album from CRS before the end of 2008.
